These Terms and Conditions govern the State of Ohio Office of TourismOhio’s DiscoveringOhio Blog Contest. Their acceptance is a prerequisite for entering the contest, and entrants must observe them at all times. The decision of the judges is final and cannot be appealed. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of the Terms and Conditions and of the Ohio Office of TourismOhio’s Privacy Policy.
To enter, follow instructions published on the DiscoveringOhio Blog at www.DiscoveringOhio.com. Winner must be 18 years of age or older. Each entry has an equal chance to win. Entries must be received by Friday, March 1, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (EST). Entries received from persons residing in geographic areas in which entry is not permissible will be disqualified. Entries are not permitted outside the Continental United States. The State of Ohio and its affiliates, agents, and employees, and the sponsor and its affiliates, agents, and employees are not responsible for any technical hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connection or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission or any human error which may occur in the receipt or processing of entries. The State of Ohio and its affiliates, agents, and employees, and the sponsor and its affiliates, agents, and employees are not responsible for any damage to computer systems from downloading any information necessary to participate in the Contest. Late, illegible, incomplete, or defective entries will not be accepted. One winner will be selected to win a prize. The prizes are nontransferable and there are no cash alternatives. You are eligible only for the Contest presented in your offering. Winners will be selected by representatives of Ron Foth Advertising Agency, organizer of the contest. Selection of the contest winner is the sole responsibility of the contest organizer. Approximate numerical odds of winning are based on the number of contest entries received. Employees of The State of Ohio, Ron Foth Advertising, and any of their affiliated or subsidiary companies, or members of their immediate families are not eligible. Any dispute regarding submission of on-line entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. The State of Ohio and/or the contest organizer reserves the right to terminate or modify the Contest at any time if The State of Ohio on-line service is no longer available or is compromised by any virus, bugs, or other intervention beyond its control. In any of these events, prizes may be awarded based on electronic entries received prior to date of termination. All taxes are the responsibility of the winner. The contest organizer reserves the right to substitute similar merchandise of equal or greater value in the event a particular merchandise prize is no longer available. Winner will be notified by e-mail (at the account provided on the winner’s entry) within 5 days of the last day of the contest. The winners will be requested to provide their complete shipping details within TWO (2) days of prize notification. If no mailing address is provided, the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. This contest is governed by any and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Any prize/prize notification returned as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. The State of Ohio and its affiliates, agents, and employees, and the contest organizer and its affiliates, agents, and employees, are not liable for accidents, injuries, loss of property or other acts beyond their reasonable control which result from awarding of contest prizes.
Consumer Information: From time to time our site requests information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and address) and demographic information (such as gender, occupation and age range) and possible vacation habits. Survey participants may be recontacted about their vacation experiences in Ohio. We may, from time to time, recontact you with special offers made by our marketing partners - Ohio's tourism businesses. At that time, you will also have the option to request to not receive any further offers from us. No personal information collected via surveys will be shared with businesses or organizations to help them contact consumers for marketing purposes. PERSONAL INFORMATION IS THAT INFORMATION DESCRIBED IN DIVISION (E) OF SECTION 1347.01 OF THE OHIO REVISED CODE. Information provided for contest registration will be used by contest sponsors to notify winners and award prizes and may also be used on a limited basis for marketing purposes.
